Wow...that's some crap there. Anything to try to detract from what will undoubtedly become one of the greatest stories all time.

And really...screw Baltimore anyway.

A newborn son, victory over the New Yorks, 2 games up in the Series—and still SF is bitter. What, exactly, will it take to assuage my fragile interlocutor? One fears that even a title, should it come, will be insufficient. So sad, so sad....

Come on, everybody knows that Barbara Hershey shot Curt Schilling in the ankle.

Not bitter at all - thrilled so far, in fact. I was just pointing out a column of interesting inanity. Remember, by my own standards (and most others', I think) the Sox ain't won nothing won yet, though, so no reason to be celebratory either.

Well, look, Schilling is definitely hurt--I mean, nobody's faking any blood or sutures, for Pete's sake--but he's also more than aware of the attention that his ankle is getting, to the extent that he advertised his foundation for Lou Gehrig's Disease research in letters down there for the FOX cameras. He's wise to the story and to the coverage, and he's taken advantage of it, which maybe is why all these suspicions have popped up all over the place. But the bottom line is that he shut down the Yanks, he shut down the Cards, and even on a bum ankle, he's proven himself a helluva pitcher, not just a fireballer with a splitter. I hate the b-tard, but damnit if he didn't step up.

I thought the blood thing was a little fishy in game 6 of the ALCS since the way I understood the injury it was all internal, but as soon as I heard about the sutures, it made sense. Do I think Curt is probably enjoying every second of the drama and the legend he's creating? Sure. Does that diminish what he's doing? Hell no. The guy is a great pitcher and I can't take anything away from him. And it sucks!

Wow ... some one had the nerve to write that? Come on! If anyone hates Curt Schilling it's definitly me and the rest of the New York Yankee fans out there ... but you can't say he was faking it. Of course it looks suspicous ... it's rivalry it should. But faking I doubt it, and if he's faking it he's a great actor. Hands down to the sox this time .. we actually lost this one guys.

Hopefully we'll snag it back whole-heartedly in 2005 :) LET'S GO YANKEES!
