Repressed Memory: Yanks-Tribe Gamer I
Let's not talk about the last trip to the Jake.
Andy Pettitte starts tonight as the Yankees roll into Cleveland for four games at the Indians. Excellent in his last outing, Pettitte looks for his fourth victory of the season while his counterpart, righty Paul Byrd (0-2, 4.43), looks for his first. Byrd had fine outings his last two starts but has not seen his team win in any of his four starts this year. You've probably already read or heard the bad news about Bruney. The good news is ARod is back in the lineup and will be on the field. Good news indeed.
One hour to game time, lineups to follow. Comment away.

I sincerely want Giambi to make me eat my words for doubting him this season.
No more comments from me tonight; sunny evening that begs an outdoor barbeque.

This was a great game, despite the loss in the end. Giambi is gettig his stroke back, ARod gets 5 straight out assists, solid defensive play from the Melkman and Robbie, and we made a courageous attempt to come back at the end despite a potentially spirit crushing homer off of Pettite (way to go Matsui!). Again, despite the loss, great game.
