Top 40

Over at misterirrelevant, Jamie Mottram (of AOL's Sportsbloggerslive, on which YF and I have been proud guests) posts the results of his poll of fellow bloggers, a poll in which he asked participants to come up with the top 40 sports figures of the year.  Two Yankees, Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez, make the list, while none of our beloved Sox qualify (sounds about right: who cares about third place finishers?).  We'd certainly have included Daisuke Matsuzaka on the shortlist (he did get votes).  Though he isn't yet a member of the Sox, is there a name more controversial or newly familiar than his, in all of baseball?

Head over to Jamie's site for the full docket.
