The Saturday and Sunday games are day-night double headers. Too bad they couldn't do one true doubleheader for old time's sake. I know it doesn't make financial sense, but it would be a nice gesture.

Ryan Garko hit a two-run shot off of Santana in the Tribe first inning. Cleveland leads 2-0 in the top of two.

Two dblheaders on successive days - just what the yanks need. The weather in the Northeast sucks...

Agreed Andrews, it's a brutal weekend for both teams. The Yankees have only one day off before the end of the regular season.

Guitierrez singles home Luna to make it 3-0 Tribe. Santana=vincible, at least tonight.

I really didn't think it through regarding the doubleheader post. Obviously, with the pre-sale, it is not possible to do a true doubleheader. Still, if New York had had the option, it would have been something special for the fans. Double headers were so much more frequent in years past. I remember going to a doubleheader at a minor-league game about twenty years ago. It was a fantastic afternoon as a fan of the game.

What does this mean for Kitty?!? No last game? Will he throw out the first pitch Sunday?

This is no way to end things!!!!!

YF: I didn't even think of that. He _HAS_ to do one more game.

Showers in the forecast tomorrow, mostly sunny Sunday.

Mauer/Morneau update:

Mauer: 0-1, 1 run, .346
Morneau 1-1, 1 rbi, .326

Mauer is amazing defensively around the plate. He just took Marte out of the play on a relay play, Hunter to Bartlett to Mauer. However, Inglett scored on the Gutierrez triple. It's 4-2 Tribe.

I'll be surprised if they get all 4 games in this weekend...I'm a lot closer to Boston than New York, but we haven't been getting very nice weather of late and that doesn't look to change anytime soon...
